Oriel Gallery closed its doors for the last time on 19 April 2009.
The economic downturn made it just too tough to sell contemporary art in Picton, so after nearly six years, the Oriel era has come to an end. It was a very good era while it lasted though and my thanks go to all of you who supported the gallery by visiting, telling others about us and buying artworks by the wonderful artists whose work made Oriel such a very special place.
I am now living in Wellington where I am working as an consultant, and mentoring and representing artists. And Lisa and I still have our publishing company Oriel Publishing.
